What SmokoShare is
SmokoShare lists rooms and passes messages between people. We aren't a real estate agent, we don't rent out rooms, and we aren't part of any agreement you make. We check listings before they go live, but we don't verify rooms, identities or permissions. Messages are passed on automatically, apart from ones that mention money, buying or selling, which a person reads first. Anyone can report a listing or a message, and we block people who break these rules.
If you list a room
- The room must be real and available, and you must be entitled to offer it, with any permission you need from the landlord.
- We can't list rooming houses or boarding houses yet: properties where you rent rooms to 4 or more people, not counting your own household.
- The details and smoking rules must be accurate and must not conflict with your lease.
- Leave contact details out of the listing; messages reach you through the site.
- We can edit, reject, pause or remove a listing at any time.
What's not allowed
- Offering to sell, supply, share or grow drugs, or asking for them.
- Scams, fake listings, or asking for money before an inspection.
- Harassment, threats, or abusive or discriminatory content.
- Spam or advertising.
Smoking rules and the law
A listing's smoking rules describe what the household is comfortable with. They don't make anything legal that isn't, and everyone is responsible for following the law and their lease.
Liability
We provide SmokoShare as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for agreements, losses or disputes between people who meet through the site. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. Questions: hello@smokoshare.au.
