About SmokoShare
A smoker knows a smoker. SmokoShare helps people who smoke, vape or use 420 find housemates who are comfortable with that, anywhere in Australia.
Why it exists
Most room listings either don't mention smoking or rule it out. People who smoke end up guessing, or finding out at the inspection. SmokoShare starts with the question everyone needs answered: where, in this house, can you smoke, vape or use 420? Every room shows it up front, on a sign like the one on the home page.
How it works
- Hosts list rooms for free. A person checks every listing before it goes live, and checks later changes to its wording, place and photos too.
- People looking for a room join a private waitlist. Hosts never see it. We email rooms that fit where you want to live, your budget, your move date and your habits.
- Messages go through SmokoShare, so nobody's email address is on show until they reply.
- Matching is done by a person for now. Automatic room alerts come later, once there are enough rooms and people for them to be useful.
What SmokoShare isn't
We're not a real estate agent, we don't rent out rooms, and we don't verify people or properties, so read our safety tips before you pay anyone. We remove listings and messages that offer to sell, supply or grow drugs, and block people who send them (terms).
